Zillertaler Höhenstrasse – Murmelland & Hubertus Wildtierpfad: On the Zillertaler Höhenstrasse, the Hubertus Wildtierpfad takes young and old alike on a fascinating journey into the world of native Alpine animals. This picturesque, wide gravel path through alpine meadows offers an unforgettable nature experience for the whole family, with its numerous play and learning stations, picnic spots and relaxation areas. At eight interactive stations, visitors encounter native wildlife such as hares, foxes, roe deer and marmots, complemented by playful learning activities such as balancing exercises and animal tracking. Benches and wooden loungers invite you to take a break, whilst a children’s playground, a petting zoo at the Murmelland and a panoramic viewing platform round off the experience. The trail is easily accessible, starting either from local huts or the Hubertus Chapel, and also offers refreshments and places to stop for a bite to eat at the Kaltenbach Ski Hut, the Zirmstadl and the Platzlalm.
