A Musical and Culinary Journey through the Zillertal
November 6, 2026 | 7:00 PM | MalisGarten Green Spa Hotel | Zell am Ziller
Familiar melodies, old Rainer songs, and stories about local folk music: The Rainer Quartet brings a piece of Zillertal’s musical tradition to the Salettl. Look forward to Tyrolean and Zillertal songs, dialect texts by Franz Gruber, and instrumental music featuring Michael Mitterdorfer on Ziacha, guitar, and contra guitar.
Accompanying this is a delicious 4-course menu from the wild herb kitchen. Between the musical performances, there’s time to relax and chat in a personal and informal atmosphere.
Whether you’re from the neighborhood or looking for a little getaway in the Zillertal: you are warmly welcome! And if you wish to stay after the last song, you can extend the evening with an overnight stay at MalisGarten.
What the Evening Sounds Like
Four voices and songs that tell the story of the Zillertal: Silvia Hotter, Maria Kröll, Franz Erler, and Johann Rainer, as the Rainer Quartet, dedicate themselves to Tyrolean and Zillertal folk music. At the Salettl, you will hear traditional songs and old Rainer songs and learn more about their history and significance.
Dialect texts by Franz Gruber bring the valley’s language to life. Michael Mitterdorfer complements the singing with Ziacha, guitar, and contra guitar.
The musical contributions and stories alternate with the four courses from the wild herb kitchen. This allows time to listen, enjoy, and chat together.
